The School Day
The school gates are open from 8:45 am for children to come straight into classes.
From September 2022 the compulsory day starts with registration taken at 8:55 am to comply with government requirements to provide a school week of 32.5 hours. Register closes at 9:01 and children arriving after that will be late. The day ends at 3:25 for Infants and 3:30 for Juniors.
Breaktimes and Lunchtime
Nursery and Reception
Due to the nature of continuous provision there is no breaktime in these classes. Lunchtime is 11:30 -1:00 including some activities.
Year 1 and 2
Breaktime is 10:15-10:30 in the morning and in the afternoon 2:15-2:30 for Year 2 and 2:30-2:45 for Year 1. Lunchtime is 12:00- 1:00.
Key Stage 2
Each class has a morning breaktime of 15 minutes. Years 3 and 4 from 10:30 to 10:45 and Years 5 and 6 from 10:45 to 11:00. Lunchtime is 12:00 to 1:00 for Years 3 and 4 and 12:30 to 1:30 for Years 5 and 6.
Absence
If your child is absent for any reason please contact the school office as soon as possible and no later than 9:15 on that day 01772 864550 - if this is before school starts leave a message, we will pick up the recording. If the absence is unexplained in any class we will make contact with you.
We cannot authorise holiday absence.
