Since September 2015, we have run a Nursery class closely alongside our Reception class.  

For children who are admitted to our Reception class this makes easier transition.  

Currently 15 hours -30 hours of government funded and paid for places are offered. 

PACT 3 Parents and Children Together Project September 2021

PACT is an early language programme for parents to deliver to their child in the home. Parents are provided with structured activities and resources (e.g. storybooks), and deliver the programme to their child every day for 20 minutes (5 sessions per week) over 30 weeks of teaching. PACT incorporates three key components designed to promote children’s oral language development: 1) Shared reading: parents read books with their child using strategies which support verbal interaction and active engagement; 2) Vocabulary instruction: selected words are taught using interactive activities to promote understanding and expression; 3) Narrative (storytelling): activities include sequencing, summarising and telling/retelling stories.

What are the code validity dates for the Summer term 2021?

  • The statutory guidance requires all parents to apply/reconfirm their 30 hour eligibility for the Summer term by 31st March.
  • In order for a 30 hour code to be used next term you need to ensure the dates are valid, as follows:

                 Code Start Date - must be 31 March 2021 or earlier;

                 Code End Date - must be 1 April 2021 or later.

  • Any codes that start after 31 March 2021 will not be accepted unless the parent's grace period is applicable.
