Welcome to Year 5 2025 - 2026
Welcome to our class page! In Year 5, Mrs Parkinson will be teaching Maths and English in the mornings, focusing on developing essential literacy and numeracy skills. In the afternoons, Mr Barr will lead the foundation subjects, providing a well-rounded educational experience.
We are excited to incorporate Forest School sessions, which will take place on alternate Thursday afternoons, allowing children to engage with nature and enhance their learning through outdoor activities. PE lessons will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, promoting physical fitness and teamwork.
Homework will be assigned every Monday, which will include spellings and Maths, and is due in by the following Monday. We encourage children to read daily at home and to continue practising their times tables to reinforce their learning.
Communication with parents will primarily be through Dojo, where we will share daily class stories and important updates.

- Daily 10 Maths Questions - A timed task of 10 questions on a selected area of maths. You select the time. Answers are generated at the end.
